Programs
Learn-to-Sail
This program is first and foremost one, which is designed for
people with a physical disability or those who suffer from a
loss of mobility caused by illness or injury.
Our Learn-to-Sail courses provide theory instruction, technical
skills training, social activity and confidence building in a
safe, positive and cooperative learning environment. Courses are
available to anyone disabled or able-bodied.
Graduates will attain the skills and confidence to sail
independently. The Canadian Yachting Association certifies
course materials and instructors. On completion of White Sail
Level III, the sailor will be able to carry out basic sailing
skills in wind strengths of 8-16 km/h (4-8 knots). White Sail
III certification is required to sail solo in our Martin 16
sailboats. Go Back |
