Discover the Martin 16 

Able Sail Manitoba uses four Martin 16 sailboats for its program.

Features of the Martin 16:

From a forward facing sitting position,  sailors have complete control of the boat.

Sail controls are led to a fully adjustable cockpit mounted control console directly forward of the helmsperson.

A self-tacking jib sail frees the sailor from heavy line hauling. 
 

The rudder is controlled through a joystick.

A ballasted centerboard prevents capsizing.

The Martin 16 is unsinkable - even with the hull totally flooded.

 
A second seat provides room for a sailing instructor or a sailing companion.
